Inside the film, Michael Oher came to be and increased in the tasks of Memphis, Tennessee. He grew up poor, not knowing his father, and was the son of a crack-addicted mother. For example , one of his neighbors lowered out of community university to sell medications. Oher did not have a solid relationship along with his mother and did not know his daddy very well. His mother was addicted to medications and did not provide the needs for Oher as a growing child. Just before Oher shifted in with the Tuohy's, he previously one tee shirt and one pair of short circuits that this individual washed through the night at the regional wash home so he could have clean clothes to put on the next day. Oher used what resources he could in order to fit in for his fresh school, such as cleaning his own garments. On nighttime after a volleyball game, Oher walked throughout the bleachers and collected left over popcorn from the stands. He did this because he was hungry, experienced no money to buy food, plus the popcorn would definitely be swept up and disposed of. Oher was comfortable in the old environment because it was all this individual knew and was used to; he did not experience nearly anything otherwise right up until moving in with the Tuohy's (Johnson & Hancock, 2009).
